At Utkalaa Arts, we blend the power of traditional art with mindful expression—helping you find peace, presence, and emotional renewal through creativity. Founded by Bismita Aruk, a passionate & professional traditional artist, art educator, art therapy practitioner, and meditation guide. Utkalaa Arts was born from years of personal exploration, cultural reverence, and the desire to help others connect with their inner selves through art.
Though there is no physical studio space yet, Utkalaa Arts comes alive wherever it is needed through online and offline workshops, community collaborations and one-on-one sessions with individuals, groups and organizations.
“In my creation, I Meditate. Every dot, line and color is a prayer in motion.”
Bismita Aruk is an accomplished Indian artist creating art from past 7 years. Her work reflects in her
intricate designs. She specializes in Mandala Art & different traditional art forms like Thangka, Pichwai &
Saura paintings. She learned mastery of these traditional art styles from her mentors who have preserved and
passed down their craft through generations.
Her mission is to help individuals to overcome mental and emotional traumas through creative exploration and
the goal is to reach out to as many people as possible to offer a journey of self-discovery.
Teaching art is one of her greatest joys. She conducts art classes and workshops for children, adults, and
educators. Each session is crafted not just to teach techniques, but to inspire creative confidence and
self-expression. From beginners to seasoned artists, she welcomes all who seek to explore their creative side.
As an Art Therapy Practitioner, Bismita works with both individuals and groups to support their mental,
emotional and spiritual well-being through a meaningful blend of art and meditation. Her sessions combine
mindful art-making with simple yet effective meditation and breathwork practices, helping participants
reconnect with their inner world. She believes in the healing power of creativity and creates safe, nurturing,
and non-judgmental spaces for people to explore their feelings, express themselves freely, and begin their
healing journey.
"Art helped me find my way back to myself. Through every line, every breath, I discovered healing, calm,
and meaning. My hope is to share this journey with others so they too can experience the peace that lives
within."
